By making a booking at Alor Tanapi Dive Resort, you are automatically agreeing to the following terms & conditions.

Booking Confirmation and Payment:

• We require a 25% deposit to confirm your booking.
• Failure to pay your deposit within 10 days of your booking will result in automatic cancellation of your space.
• The full balance must be settled by bank transfer 30 days prior to your arrival date.
• You are responsible for all bank and international transfer fees to ensure the full invoiced amount is received in our account.
• For extras such as drinks, additional dives, rental equipment, etc. you can pay in cash in IDR or USD (foreign banknotes must be pristine) or by credit card (MasterCard, VISA) with a 2% extra surcharge. 
• If paying in cash in USD or EUR, only new crisp banknotes are accepted and cannot be older than 5 years since the date of issue, and must be in the following denominations: USD 50 or USD 100, EUR 50 and above.

Cancellations and No-Shows:

• Cancellations must be made in writing.
• In principal, deposits and bookings are non-refundable unless cancellations are made more than 90 days prior to your arrival – in which case they are refundable minus $200 cancellation fee per person and any applicable bank fees, or are fully transferable: if the stay is transferred to a later date, the difference in the new rate is applicable.
• If the cancellation is made 60 to 90 days prior to your arrival: the 25% deposit paid is non-refundable.
• If the cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to your arrival: bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• In case of a no-show or early departure, the entire stay will be charged, including any additional services booked.

GROUP BOOKINGS (6 GUESTS OR MORE):

• More than 120 days: Bookings are refundable minus $200 cancellation fee per person or fully transferable.
• 90 – 120 days: Bookings have a cancellation fee of 25%. At this time the deposit is no longer refundable.
• Less than 90 days: Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Please note that any refunds will be subject to deductions for bank fees incurred in processing the transaction.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for possible flight delays, cancellations, medical and non-medical emergencies, or adverse weather conditions which go beyond the control of Alor Tanapi Dive Resort. As a reminder, Divers Alert Network (DAN) insurance or equivalent is mandatory for all divers.

This policy is subject to change based on specific booking terms and conditions.

Surcharges & Discounts:

• Single supplement for solo travellers applies. No single surcharge in the Hillside Standard Bungalow.
• Long stay: Stay 2 weeks or more and receive 1 night free of charge
• Group discounts: 
  • On a group booking of 7 paying guests, receive the 8th person free of charge (FOC) in the lower pricing category.
  • On a group booking of 14 paying guests, receive the 15th and 16th persons FOC in the lower pricing category.

Lost or damaged equipment will be charged at the following prices:

• Mask: $70
• Torch: $250
• Dive computer: $300
• Fins: $100
• Weight belt: $15
• Weights: per kg $10
• SMB: $60
• Snorkel: $20

Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its furnishings and may be charged for any necessary repairs or replacements.

Water activities policy: Missed dives cannot be claimed for a reimbursement if already booked and paid for. Dives are non- transferable. Morning and afternoon dives cannot be switched or exchanged. All of our dives are boat dives, we do not offer house reef diving due to the strong currents in the Alor-Pantar Strait. Guests who wish to scuba dive must be certified divers from a recognized scuba diving association and must have valid dive insurance for diving-related illnesses, accidents and emergency evacuation. A certified dive guide leads divers on diving excursions at a ratio of maximum 4:1. We request that divers stay with their dive guide and dive buddy. Solo-diving is not permitted. Non-divers and snorkelers are welcome to join the diving boat on morning or afternoon excursions for an additional daily fee if and when the boat has planned diving excursions. Snorkeling excursions are unguided. For guided snorkeling excursions, it is possible to hire a private guide at an additional cost. Fishing of any kind is strictly forbidden within the marine park for tourists, only the native inhabitants of Alor are permitted to fish in the Alor-Pantar Strait. In addition, we kindly ask our guests and visitors to be mindful and respectful of the environment both on and off Alor Tanapi’s premises. Intentional damage or destruction of the land or marine environment will result in an automatic cancellation of your stay with no possible reimbursement. 

Changes to the program: Alor Tanapi reserves the right to change particular services, if required, due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances. Alor Tanapi will make every effort to offer equivalent alternatives of a comparable standard. Clients will be informed of such changes at the earliest possible date and the effect it may have on the price.

Cancellations for reasons caused by the customer: Alor Tanapi reserves the right to cancel a booking if actions on the customer’s part give justifiable cause to do so. In such instance, Alor Tanapi will not refund any payments already made.

Force majeure or unavoidable acts of man: Alor Tanapi reserves the right to cancel a trip for reasons of Force Majeure (i.e. natural disasters, epidemics, etc.) or unavoidable acts of man (i.e. war, riots, strikes etc.), or weather, climate and sea conditions which would endanger the safety of the customer.

Trip interruptions: In cases of emergency such as personal illness or accident, Alor Tanapi will assist in the necessary arrangements in order to facilitate the customer’s return travel. All incurring costs involving a premature return trip are the responsibility of the client. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for possible flight delays, cancellations, medical and non-medical emergencies, force majeure, unavoidable acts of man or adverse weather conditions which go beyond the control of Alor Tanapi Dive Resort.
