Dining & Lounge
Alor Tanapi Dining consists of a restaurant and lounge area offering a beautiful view overlooking the Pantar Strait, facing the extinct volcano islands of Ternate and Pura.
Dining Experience at Alor Tanapi Dive Resort
Dining at Alor Tanapi is designed to be a relaxed and social part of the day. As a small boutique dive resort in Alor, meal times provide an opportunity for guests to gather, share stories from the day’s dives, review underwater photographs, and exchange sightings of the incredible marine life encountered throughout the Pantar Strait.
Breakfast is typically served à la carte before the morning dive departures, while lunch and dinner served family-style offer a chance to relax and recharge after time spent in the water. Our menu changes regularly to provide variety for guests staying one week or longer, combining traditional Indonesian favourites with flavours inspired by other parts of Southeast Asia and the world. Fresh fish, tropical fruits, vegetables, and locally sourced ingredients feature prominently whenever available.
Our dining area offers a breathtaking view overlooking the Pantar Strait, facing the extinct volcano islands of Ternate and Pura. Whether enjoying a morning coffee before diving, a fresh coconut water during the afternoon, or watching the sunset over Pantar Island, the restaurant and lounge provide a comfortable setting to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty that makes Alor such a special destination.
For guests celebrating special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, or honeymoons, we are happy to help arrange small touches to make the experience even more memorable.
In addition to three daily meals, snacks are available in the early evening, free-flow of coffee, tea, and drinking water are included in all packages. As much as possible, we source our ingredients locally and work closely with the local farmers to help them develop their garden in order to have a broader range of different fruits and vegetables.
Our Lounge
Our lounge area is connected to the restaurant and enjoys the same panoramic views across the Pantar Strait towards the islands of Pura and Ternate. Designed as a comfortable communal space, it is the perfect place to unwind between dives, enjoy a coffee, review underwater photographs, or simply watch the changing light across the water throughout the day.
The restaurant and lounge area also features a small bar and a library with fish identification guides, marine life reference books, travel literature, and various reading materials. Comfortable sofas and shaded seating areas provide a welcoming space to socialize with fellow guests, discuss the day’s diving, or quietly enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As the sun begins to set behind Pantar Island, the lounge becomes one of the resort’s favourite gathering places, offering spectacular sunset views and a relaxed atmosphere after a day of adventure.
